Why young athletes get hurt

01

One sport, all year

Specializing early is linked to more overuse injuries and burnout.

02

Skill without strength

Practices build skill. They rarely build the strength and landing mechanics that protect knees and ankles.

03

Not enough sleep or food

Teens who sleep less than 8 hours get hurt more, and under-fueling stalls strength.

04

No plan for the season

Most athletes stop lifting in-season and finish weaker than they started.

02

Twelve weeks, four phases

01

General prep

Weeks 1–3

Recover from the season and rebuild the basics: landing, mobility, control.

02

Hypertrophy

Weeks 4–6

Build muscle. Bigger muscles can become stronger muscles.

03

Strength

Weeks 7–9

Turn new muscle into strength.

04

Test

Weeks 10–12

Prove it and set your numbers for pre-season.

Stronger athletes get hurt less and play longer.

I'm a chiropractor, a Coast Guard veteran, a former bodybuilding competitor, a husband, a father, and a business owner. Athletes of every age come to me with the same problem: they trained their sport and skipped the body that plays it.

Most sports injuries aren't bad luck. They're load piling up on a body that wasn't built to take it. RESET performance programs build that body, organized around your season.

Questions

Is strength training safe for teens?

Yes, with good technique and adult supervision. Research supports it for performance and injury resilience. Every block includes a parent guide and consent page.

Which block do we start with?

The one that matches the athlete's calendar right now: off-season, pre-season, in-season, or post-season.

Do I need a gym?

No. Every exercise has a home version using a band and a pair of dumbbells or a kettlebell. Gym options are listed for every exercise.

How do the weekly check-ins work?

After checkout you book an onboarding call. Custom and Doctor-Led members then check in every week by phone or video to review numbers and adjust the plan.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Custom and Doctor-Led are month to month. Cancel anytime before your next billing date.
